Fathers 4 Justice Canada - Toronto Ontario - 08/08/08 - NDP - No Dads Party - F4J Ontario Team Memebers In Action
Fathers4Justice Canada - August 08/08 - 08/08/08 - Toronto Ontario - F4J Ontario team members unite in high profile action.
At precisely 6 am this morning F4J Canada superheroes, Plywood Man (Mark Bogan) and Spiderman (Vi Tran) ascended to the top of NDP
Jack Layton's office at 221 Broadview Ave.  in Toronto in an attempt to encourage NDP support to motion - 483 - for equal parenting, on behalf
of all families who have lost a loved one to Canada's family courts. Mr. Incredible (Denis VanDecker) was also on site as an official voice for
F4J  Canada and to insure the safety of the team.
Team members unrolled a huge banner that read - NDP - "No Dads Party" - with Plywood Man and Spiderman remaining aloft.
Mr. Incredible busied himself on the ground below and kept close watch over the superheroes. Our superheroes aloft were comfortably situated
and well stocked too remain upon the roof for several days.  It was not long afterwards that authorities arrived on the scene and attempted to talk
the heroes down. On the street below many people were gathering to get a glimpse of the action. At approximately 12:00 pm the ETF
(Emergency Task Force) arrived to take control of the situation. Mr. Incredible was soon after whisked away from gathering media and taken
into custody. Spiderman, a short while later gave himself up, Plywood Man (Mark Bogan) remained. A police negotiator attempted for the next 4
hours to talk our Mighty Oak down. The Toronto authorities exercising excessive force released flash grenades to eventually distract Plywood
Man as ten ETF officers tackled Plywood Man to the ground, taking him into custody. Today's F4J Canada protest lasted nearly 12 hours.
The F4J superheroes are currently spending the evening behind bars and are expected to be in court August 09/08 at 10:00 am.  Your support
for these brave and inspiring individuals is greatly welcomed and encouraged. Today, 08/08/08, F4J Canada Ontario members not only made
headlines, they made history.
